On a rainy day, an umbrella tilted for someone
When the rain came down hard, he opened his umbrella and tilted it toward her. So why did “thank you” get stuck in her throat?
On a rainy evening, when her partner tilted his umbrella toward her, Jisu thought of the day’s expression of love from the almanac instead of saying thank you.
On a rainy evening, Jisu and Minho walk together to the bus stop. Minho tilts his umbrella toward her and doesn’t notice his own shoulder getting wet. Jisu wants to thank him for being so thoughtful, but remembers a line she saw in the almanac: “A day to show love through actions, not words.” She swallows her words. In the counseling room, Jirisan Mansin lays out the almanac’s date and what happened that day, then looks at the reading alongside a real moment between the two of them. Jisu’s words remain unfinished in the room.
When it’s hard to put your gratitude into words
A line in the almanac doesn’t decide how you express love. Looking at what you said and did that day can offer clues to what you felt.
When was the last time you meant to say thank you, but stopped?
The moment stays with you: she sees the person holding the tilted umbrella getting wet, but “thank you” catches in her throat. It made her look again at what they actually did for each other that day, beyond the almanac’s words. If you’re holding a similar moment, tell us what happened then.
