You pause over the contract while choosing a signing date.
Even after reading the whole contract, sometimes you set your pen down because you can’t choose a date to sign.
Scenes
- You pause at the date box. — If you can’t choose a signing date even after reading the contract, you may find yourself opening the calendar again.
- The signing date is still blank. — Only the signing date is left blank on the contract. The terms agreed with the other person haven’t changed, but you pause again over the calendar.
- Check your readiness before the date. — When choosing an auspicious date, I look beyond the date itself. I also consider whether the signer and the contract terms are ready.
- Narrow it down to days you can sign. — Tonight, circle only the dates you can actually sign on. It’s enough to have just a few left.
- What matters in choosing a date remains. — If the date is on your mind, first check whether anything in the contract still needs reviewing. When I help choose a date, I consider those preparations, too.
