The Post That Follows Her to Work

Before the train doors closed, an anonymous post already knew where she was standing that day.

Yuna keeps encountering anonymous posts pointing out where she is and what she looks like on her way to work. She repeats the same routine, unable to delete or reply, until she finally speaks to the screen.

Yuna takes the subway to work. One day, she sees an anonymous community post describing what she is wearing and which train car she is in. The posts continue the next day, at another station, and soon Yuna checks her screen before anything else on her commute. Even after her counselor asks a brief question, she cannot report or reply to the posts. At last, she places a finger on the screen and lets out the words she has held back for so long.

When a Commute Post Feels Scary

When someone’s post keeps following you, instead of trying to steady yourself, start by checking when each post went up and what it said. It can make the next scene a little clearer.

Where did you first come across a similar post?

Yuna, what stayed with me was the hand that kept checking again even after deleting the post, more than the post itself. In moments like this, I think it matters first to establish who posted what and when, rather than deciding what to say. If you’re still stopping in front of similar posts, please tell me about that scene, slowly.
