My voice came to the dinner table
The voice message she sent only to a friend came up at the dinner table. Before laughter, Daeun saw traces of her words spreading without permission.
After words she sent only to a friend spread among others, Daeun comes face-to-face with the sentence she could never bring herself to say as it happens again.
During dinner, Daeun hears her voice message playing in her friend’s group chat. The next day, when another private sentence is laid out before others, she tries to tell her friend about her boundaries late at night, then deletes it.
When my words spread without my permission
It’s not about being overly sensitive. First, let’s look at who received my words and how they were passed along.
Rather than questioning whether I’m just being sensitive, let’s look together at what happened and how much I can safely share. That can help me find a path that fits my situation.
When your words end up in someone else’s hands, the first thing to check isn’t whether you’re being too sensitive, but whether you’re safe right now. Would it be okay to do just one small thing today, like writing down who shared what?
