Dreaming of not knowing your new rank after a promotion - dream meaning with inherited lore
Being promoted without knowing exactly what your new rank is may reflect a wish to be recognized and frustration that the changes aren't clear.
You hear that you've been promoted, but don't know exactly what your new rank is. People around you congratulate you, while you're left confused about how your role or authority will change.
Korean lore: A promotion itself has sometimes been interpreted as a wish for recognition or a change in status. There’s no clear, established interpretation for a scene where the rank is unclear, so it may feel more natural to focus on the confusion you felt. (In folk dream interpretations, a promotion is sometimes read as a wish for recognition at work and a change in role.)
Through the mind: You may want a new role but have little sense of what would actually change. This could reflect how unclear your duties or evaluation criteria feel these days.
