A dream about a promotion being announced incorrectly - dream meaning with inherited lore
It may reveal worry that the recognition you expected could be overturned, or difficulty believing good things even when they happen.
You hear that you’ve been promoted, then learn later that your name or rank was wrong. Hearing a correction announced in front of everyone may leave you flustered or deflated.
Korean lore: Traditionally, dreams in which good news is reversed have sometimes been interpreted as fluctuations between expectation and reality. They may also be seen as scenes reflecting anxiety or caution before something is finalized. (This interpretation comes from a folk tradition of reading scenes where expected news changes as signs of uncertainty and emotional guardedness.)
Through the mind: You may recently have wanted to make sure you can trust an evaluation or a promise. If the shock felt especially strong, you may be more afraid of disappointment or losing face than of the promotion itself.
