The night before an important meeting, all I can think about are my mistakes
When I lie down the night before an important meeting, I start replaying the things I got wrong today.
Scenes
- I’m lying here, replaying my mistakes — I have an important meeting tomorrow, but once I turn off the light and lie down, all I can see is what I got wrong today.
- I answered too quickly — I answered before the question was finished in a meeting. The other person asked again, and I stumbled over my words.
- I forgot to say, “Just a moment” — If I’d waited until the other person finished the question, I could have held back the first answer that came to mind.
- Write down just one thing you learned — Write one line about what today’s mistake taught you. Keep it small, like “Wait until the question is finished before answering.”
- One lesson is enough — You don’t have to get every answer right tomorrow. You can start by listening to one question all the way through.
