I’m trying to tidy up, but dinner with my coworkers is getting closer.
Before dinner with my coworkers, I try to clear out some old things at home, but sometimes my hands stop in front of a box.
Scenes
- I look at the clock before I start cleaning — Before heading to dinner with my coworkers, I open a box to clear out some old things at home. When I check the clock, I start to rush.
- I notice the time before what to toss — Instead of looking over each thing I’ve taken out, I first wonder if I can finish before dinner.
- When I rush, it’s harder to choose — The more there is to sort, the busier my hands get trying to finish it all instead of looking at each thing.
- Set a smaller goal for today — Tonight, try choosing just one thing from one box. Notice when you stop instead of choosing more.
- Start again where you stopped — Even if things are still in the box, you can notice where you stopped today and pick it up again next time.
