A dream of being reborn and leaving your old name behind - dream meaning with inherited lore
It may hold a wish to step away from an old role or others’ expectations and be known in a new way.
As you’re reborn, you leave your old name behind and receive a new one. Someone may call you by it, or you may set down an old name tag.
Korean lore: There isn’t a prominent, specific folk interpretation of changing your name and beginning a new life. Alongside the symbol of being born again, it could be read as wanting to leave an old role behind and make a fresh start. (There isn’t a clear, independent traditional interpretation of changing your name, so this draws on reincarnation’s meaning of a fresh start.)
Through the mind: This may reflect wanting to break free from roles assigned by family or at work, or from a reputation you’ve carried for a long time. Thinking back on whether hearing your new name felt welcome or awkward may help you consider what kind of change you need.
Lifestyle content that helps with self-understanding and emotional steadiness. When you need a professional diagnosis or advice, pairing it with a medical, legal, or financial expert gives you even more support.
