A Dream of an Elevator Flooding in a Downpour - dream meaning with inherited lore

You’re riding an elevator up or down inside a building as rainwater rises from the floor. Even after pressing the buttons, the elevator won’t stop or the doors won’t open, leaving you feeling frustrated and trapped.

Korean lore: In traditional dream interpretation, scenes where water blocks your path are sometimes linked to delayed progress or feeling weighed down. When a downpour and an elevator appear together, the dream has sometimes been read as reflecting difficulty finding direction in the face of sudden change. (Folk interpretations often read scenes of downpours and flooding as obstacles or emotions overflowing.)

Through the mind: This kind of scene may appear when you feel unable to move as you wish at work or in your relationships. It may also reflect the burden of being swept along by circumstances without time to consider your options.
