A sleep paralysis dream with an animal - dream meaning with inherited lore

An animal appears in the room where you can't move, or comes close to the bed. How frightening it feels may depend on what kind of animal it is and whether it attacks or stays still.

Korean lore: Dreams about animals have traditionally been interpreted in different ways depending on the animal and what it does, rather than given one fixed meaning. Here, you might consider whether the animal felt threatening or stayed close by. (In folk dream interpretations, people have read an animal’s meaning differently depending on its kind and behavior, including whether it seemed lucky or unlucky or carried a certain energy.)

Through the mind: An animal’s appearance may reflect wariness you haven’t put into words, or a wish to feel protected. You might think back to whether anything unfamiliar or hard to predict has happened lately.
