Dreaming of a needle in your mouth - dream meaning with inherited lore
It may connect to times when you swallow what you want to say or feel unusually careful with every word.
A small needle is lodged in or near your tongue, making it hard to speak freely. The scene may show you trying to pull it out while it hurts, or tensing up because you might swallow it.
Korean lore: Traditionally, a needle in the mouth has sometimes been interpreted as discomfort caused by a slip of the tongue or sharp words. Some view it as a dream reflecting words being exchanged badly between close people, or the care taken with words kept inside. (In folk dream interpretations, the prickly nature of a needle is sometimes read alongside the sharpness of words and relationships.)
Through the mind: You may have been carefully choosing what to say to someone lately, or worrying that speaking honestly could change the relationship. Feelings of hurt or tension you have not expressed may also appear as uncomfortable scenes in a dream.
