A Dream of Crushing Lotus Seeds - dream meaning with inherited lore
Crushing seeds is sometimes traditionally read as taking another look at something you’ve been preparing or adjusting a plan you’ve had in mind.
You press and crush lotus seeds with your fingers or a tool. You may vividly feel the shells crack or the seeds break apart.
Korean lore: Although the lotus itself is widely associated with good fortune, there isn’t a consistent traditional interpretation of crushing its seeds. Some readings see handling seeds as a sign of beginnings and preparation, and gently read crushing them as part of revising a plan. (This draws on folk readings of the lotus as a symbol of good fortune and seeds as an image of preparation and new beginnings, while treating the tradition around this particular scene cautiously.)
Through the mind: It may reflect uncertainty about whether to keep pushing ahead with a plan or adjust your approach. You might also consider whether something you’d hoped for recently didn’t go as planned and left you frustrated.
