Dream of 4 sinking in water - dream meaning with inherited lore
Seeing a 4 sink underwater may connect to wanting to set aside a worry or burden for a while.
A paper or sign marked with the number 4 falls into the water and sinks. The water may look clear or murky, and you may feel a sense of emptiness or relief as the number disappears.
Korean lore: The number 4 has sometimes been treated with caution because it sounds like the word for “death.” There isn’t a well-established traditional interpretation of a scene where it sinks into water, so it feels more natural to look at the emotions you felt in the dream rather than settle on one meaning. (This reading draws on the folk association between the number 4 and the similar-sounding word for death.)
Through the mind: This scene may reflect wanting to set aside a thought that feels burdensome or unwelcome. Remembering how the water felt may help you explore the weight of that feeling.
