Dreaming of riding an elevator in an empty building - dream meaning with inherited lore

Inside an empty building, the elevator doors open and you step in alone. The elevator goes up or down, but it is unclear which floor it will stop at.

Korean lore: Traditionally, scenes of moving up and down have sometimes been interpreted in connection with changes in one’s position or circumstances. An empty elevator may also be seen as a process of facing that change alone. (In folk dream interpretations, height and direction of movement are sometimes connected with changes in status, work, and the flow of daily life.)

Through the mind: It may come up when you are deciding alone about a move to the next stage, such as changing jobs, moving house, or facing a change in a relationship. More than whether you are going up or down, what may matter is the feeling that you are choosing to move.
