Dreaming of water filling a basement after an earthquake - dream meaning with inherited lore
It may feel as if emotions or worries you’ve put off are all surfacing at once after a major shake-up.
After the earthquake passes, you go down to the basement and find water rising. Things on the floor get wet as you try to find where the water is coming from.
Korean lore: There isn’t a clear tradition that gives a single fixed meaning of good or bad fortune to a scene with both an earthquake and water. It seems reasonable to read the water rising after the shaking as change and emotions surging in. (Folk dream readings can connect an earthquake with changes to your foundations and water with emotional symbolism, but interpretations of this combination aren’t consistent.)
Through the mind: Even if something seems over on the surface, feelings you haven’t worked through may remain underneath. The dream may invite you to look at where worries you’ve been carrying lately are coming in.
