Dreaming of a dokkaebi in an elevator - dream meaning with inherited lore
This may reflect feeling sudden tension or change in a situation that’s hard to avoid.
After the doors of a small elevator close, a dokkaebi is riding with you or appears as the floors change. You look for your floor, feeling trapped, or watch how the dokkaebi moves.
Korean lore: There’s no established folk interpretation of a goblin inside an elevator. You might look at the feeling of being trapped in one space with someone unfamiliar. (Goblins’ unpredictable nature and sudden appearances are familiar themes in folk tales, but there’s no traditional interpretation of them in a modern place like an elevator.)
Through the mind: If you’ve felt stuck lately because of a conversation or appointment you couldn’t avoid, the cramped elevator may have captured that feeling. The weight of it may feel different depending on whether the goblin seemed threatening or simply unfamiliar.
