Dreaming of a dog scratching at a window - dream meaning with inherited lore
This may reflect hesitation about whether to welcome an approaching message or relationship.
Outside the window, the dog scratches at the glass with its paw and peers in. You may wonder whether to let it in or leave things as they are, or find yourself listening for the sound.
Korean lore: In folk dream interpretation, a dog approaching the house from outside is sometimes read as a person or news from beyond drawing closer. Hesitating across a window may hold both a wish to welcome a connection and a wish to keep some distance. (This reading draws on folk interpretations that link the boundary of a home and a dog’s approach to changes in relationships around you.)
Through the mind: This scene may appear when you’re wondering how to respond to someone’s message or request. Whether you opened or closed the window, and whether you recognized the dog, may connect to the distance you want to set right now.
