Dreaming of seeing yourself in a desert - dream meaning with inherited lore

Traditionally, this has sometimes been interpreted as a moment to reflect on feeling distant lately or carrying things alone, as you encounter an unfamiliar version of yourself.

You look at yourself standing in the middle of a desert from afar, or notice your reflection on the sand. The surroundings are wide and quiet, making both you and the landscape feel vivid.

Korean lore: Traditionally, facing yourself in an unfamiliar land has sometimes been read as a dream about going through a period alone or taking stock of your feelings. It may be interpreted differently depending on whether the desert felt peaceful or bleak. (This interpretation draws on folk readings of the desert as a landscape of loneliness and a difficult journey.)

Through the mind: It may hold a feeling that you’ve grown distant from people around you, or that you have to make decisions and keep going on your own. Seeing yourself from far away may also reflect a wish to step back and look at how you’re doing.
