A dream of having buttons on your shoes - dream meaning with inherited lore

Traditionally, because feet and shoes are seen as symbols of moving forward, this scene has sometimes been interpreted as sorting out your direction in an unexpected way.

There are buttons where the laces or decorations would usually be. As you walk or put on your shoes, you notice a shape and texture unlike the usual ones.

Korean lore: Traditionally, buttons on shoes have sometimes been interpreted as a sign that the way we move and make choices is changing. They can suggest choosing a different process or set of relationship expectations instead of a familiar approach. (This comes from a symbolic folk-dream interpretation that compares shoes to one’s path and range of activity, and buttons to fastening and connection.)

Through the mind: While deciding your future direction—such as finding a job, changing jobs, or moving—you may feel that the old way no longer fits. The dream may reflect a willingness to try something new, even if it feels uncomfortable.
