Dreaming of the Buddha Disappearing - dream meaning with inherited lore
It may also be connected to the loneliness of feeling that an answer or source of comfort you relied on has suddenly grown distant.
The Buddha or Buddha statue before you suddenly disappears, leaving only an empty space. The dream may continue with you looking around or trying to find it again.
Korean lore: Traditionally, dreaming that the Buddha disappears has sometimes been interpreted as a moment when the standards or sense of protection you relied on temporarily weaken. It may also be seen as a time to steady your own heart rather than rely on others. (In folk dream interpretation, the absence of a sacred figure has been read both as a symbol of wanting protection and of facing a change that calls for independence.)
Through the mind: You may have this dream when you feel there is no one to ask for advice or certainty, and that you ultimately have to decide alone. Rather than the figure that disappeared, the feelings left behind may show your current loneliness or burden.
