Dreaming of a basement elevator going up - dream meaning with inherited lore

You step into the basement elevator. The doors close, and it starts moving upstairs. As the floor numbers change, you may begin to relax or wonder where you’ll end up.

Korean lore: In traditional dream interpretations, moving upward from a low, blocked place has sometimes been read as a shift away from a stifling situation. If the elevator rose smoothly, the scene may express a wish for things to move forward a step. (I drew on a common folk interpretation that links moving up or down with changes in one’s circumstances or situation.)

Through the mind: You may be feeling hopeful that you can get out of something that’s weighing on you, or wishing that someone’s help might change the situation. If you felt uneasy about which floor you’d reach, it may help to notice any tension you feel about change itself.
