Dreaming of riding an elevator with an ancestor - dream meaning with inherited lore
A scene of riding an elevator with an ancestor is often seen less as a traditional symbol and more as a dream about current changes and shifts in direction.
You stand together with your ancestor in a narrow elevator, moving up or down. The floor number may not stop, or your ancestor may get off first when the doors open.
Korean lore: There is no particularly clear traditional interpretation for this scene. Still, ancestors are sometimes seen as a standard for life or a memory of family, while moving up and down is linked to changes in circumstances and the direction of one’s feelings. (This combines the ancestor symbol from folk dream interpretation with a scene involving a modern means of transportation. It can be seen as old symbolism appearing alongside images from your present life.)
Through the mind: An elevator may appear when you are moving into a new stage of life, such as changing jobs, moving, or receiving a promotion. If your ancestor was beside you, you may also be conscious of your family’s expectations or support during the change.
